“Aventurine”from the Jewels of Nature Collection is a smaller size, approximately 4x6” mixed media painting on heavy art paper mounted and sealed to watercolor paper with a thin white border. This was the first experimental piece of this collection and it is fitting to call it Aventurine. It is a stone of opportunity. Blue aventurine supports vitality and is called the “heart healer” and is said to enhance creativity. The name stems from the Italian word for ‘by chance’, aventura. All these things and more came through for me with the paintings in this series. The smaller pieces in the collection can sit on a shelf or be framed as desired.
